Cable Reel
Summary:
AMICON supplied a cable reel for the storage of an electricity cable for a wind farm. The reel is completly made of steel S355. AMICON provided the design, engineering, strength calculations, manufacturing and coating of the reel. The reel was transported to its final destination at night by means of special transport. The reel can carry a total weight of 20 tons of electricity cable. The reel is also suitable for a so-called “under roller” system.

Engineering:
AMICON took care of the complete engineering of the reel. The requested specification from the customer has been converted into a design and strength calculation. Production data such as cutting files and workshop drawings have been generated from the design and calculations.
