Transom Door
Summary:
We produced the Transom Door for a refit of the mega yacht Queen Mavia. The door is made entirely of aluminium, the steel coating is Grade A. This door was built under the Lloyd’s Register survey. The complete engineering was provided by AMICON.
Specifications:
Door material: Aluminium EN AW 5083 H111
Coaming material: Steel Grade A and SS316
All material has a 3.2 Lloyds Register certification
Operation via hydraulically driven cylinders
Production standard: Lloyds Register SSC rules
Test setup:
AMICON delivered the doors fully functional. We extensively test whether the doors close properly by means of a test setup. In addition, we check whether the system works properly and whether the door fits properly in the rubbers.
NoBo:
The notified body Lloyds Register was involved throughout the project. A Curveyor is present at every delivery and test. Also during commissioning and test phase. An inspection and test plan is used to keep track of which production processes have been completed and purchased.
