Trunnion plates

Summary:
Commissioned by Boskalis, we manufactured 16 double plates for trunnion pipes. The engineering was done based on offshore survey data. The photos clearly show how the plate was ultimately placed seamlessly around the pipe offshore.

3D measurement:
The design of the double plates was done based on 3D measured data. The data is determined offshore based on the trunnion pipes. Based on this data, we supplied MDF moulds to perform the moulding work seamlessly.

Machine finishing:
After moulding, AMICON machined the double plates. This included milling the holes for the pipe, and fearing the weld edge operation for the field welds being laid offshore.
